the picture on top is a river rock, smooth and rounded. I painted a picture on the rock. It is of the cabin which is in front of the river from where this rock was found. It was a surprise Christmas present for the man who is pictured in the rock. I hope he liked it.
the bottom picture is the one I painted for a Christmas present of a beloved Blue Tick for the owner Christmas 2010. I painted it on a flat rock from my dry creek bed. I gather layers of this rock from a ledge and call it my canvas rock. Sometimes the rocks come in a shape that designates its own picture, such as one shaped like a bears head.
